INTRODUCTION

ACQUISITION: This addition to the Carleton Elliott Simensen Military Heritage Collection, 164th Infantry Association Records was deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection by Mark Durley, Sonoma, California on June 22, 1998 (Acc.#98-2207).

ACCESS: Open for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Department of Special Collections.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This addition to the 164th Infantry Association Records dates from 1949 and consists of three folders. The first folder contains a military packet detailing the history of the Americal Division, including the number of soldiers in each Infantry as well as short summaries of the action the division saw. The second folder contains an Intelligence Annex that instructs how to gather information on the enemy, the topography of the enemy territory, and information on the enemy. The third folder contains a short biography of Major General Bryand Edward Moore.
