INTRODUCTION

ACQUISITION: This addition to the Quentin Burdick Papers was deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection by Quentin Burdick in November 1982 (Acc.#83-1158). The collection was opened for research following Burdick's death on September 8, 1992.

ACCESS: Available for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Department of Special Collections.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This addition to the Quentin Burdick Papers dates from 1960-1976, and consists of subject and photograph files. The subject files contain correspondence with constituents and government officials, inter-office memorandum, newspaper clippings, the text of Senate and House bills, and government documents. Also included with the subject files are the text of speeches delivered by Burdick in 1976, as well as the text of various statements made on the floor of the U.S. Senate and to various congressional committees from 1964-1967.

The photograph files depict Burdick with various groups, individuals, and government officials. The majority of the photographs are unidentified and undated.
