ACQUISITION: This addition to the Thomas McGrath Collection was deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection by Robert Lewis, English Department, University of North Dakota on August 15, 1991 (Acc.#92-1818).

ACCESS: Available for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Department of Special Collections.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This addition to the Thomas McGrath Collection consists of correspondence between Thomas McGrath and Ann Lewin Diament, Canadian poet, family friend and godmother to Thomas McGrath's son Tomasito; poems written for Thomas McGrath by Ann Diament, and newspaper obituaries printed when McGrath died. Two audio tapes of Thomas McGrath reading and a conversation with Robert Lewis have been placed in the department's Audio-Visual Collections. A video tape of "The Movie at the End of the World," which documents Thomas McGrath's life and poetry, has also been placed in the department's Audio-Visual Collections.

SEPARATIONS RECORD

Two audio tapes of Thomas McGrath reading and a conversation with Robert Lewis have been placed in the Department's Audio-Visual Collections and labeled #1671 and #1672. Video tape #423, "The Movie at the End of the World: A Portrait of Thomas McGrath", has been placed in the Department's Audio-Visual Collections. Reading of Thomas McGrath's poetry, discussion of his family background and his work experience, including organizing workers in New York, and discussion of his writing are included in this film.
