ACQUISITION: The Danny Cooper Papers was deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection by Danny Cooper via Bill Marti, University of North Dakota Alumni Association, on August 18, 1995 (Acc.#95-2029).

ACCESS: Open for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Department of Special Collections.

BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Danny Cooper attended the University of North Dakota where he received a bachelors of science degree in mechanical engineering in December 1979. While attending UND, he was a member of the Air Force ROTC program and was an avid University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux hockey "superfan".

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

The Danny Cooper Papers date from 1977-1988 and contains University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux hockey material. This collection contains 10 hockey scrapbooks put together by Danny Cooper. The scrapbooks contain newspaper articles, game programs, and individual and team statistics. The scrapbooks were kept in their original order. There is also one folder of miscellaneous documents containing information of the 1987 and 1988 NHL draft, the 1988 Olympic statistics, and various other hockey documents. Lastly in this collection, are the College Hockey Week and WCHA Week newspapers from 1986-1988.
