INTRODUCTION

ACQUISITION: This addition to the Sigma Alpha Iota, Mu Chapter Records was deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection by Charlotte Lewis of Grand Forks, North Dakota, on December 1, 1999 (Acc#99-2391).

ACCESS: Available for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Department of Special Collections.

SCOPE AND CONTENT

This addition to the Sigma Alpha Iota, Mu Chapter Records contains information regarding the Sigma Alpha Iota Alumnae Organization including three scrapbooks, a collection of yearly programs, assorted newspaper clippings, a history of the alumnae chapter, speeches about and obituaries of deceased members, and information and programs for the Greater Grand Forks Youth Symphony. A large beige scrapbook contains material, 1968-1980, relating directly to the SAI alumnae organization: its yearly programs, newspaper clippings on the fraternity and its members, programs of concerts and obituaries of past members. A small beige scrapbook contains material dating from 1978-1985. A thin grey scrapbook contains photos of the National SAI Convention of 1987 and newspaper clippings dating from 1986-1987. The contents of the addition have been arranged chronologically.
