INTRODUCTION

ACQUISITION: This addition to the Grand Forks Business and Professional Women’s Club Records was deposited in the Orin G. Libby Manuscript Collection by Sandra Moore, Grand Forks, North Dakota, on February 28, 1990 (Acc.#90-1696).

ACCESS: Open for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Department of Special Collections.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This addition to the Grand Forks Business and Professional Women's Club Records consists of minutes, membership lists and rosters, financial and budget reports, newspaper clippings, year books, directories, awards, and correspondence. Some of the correspondence and newspaper clippings deal with the University Bards project, which the club undertook until 1961. Brochures, promotional materials and correspondence from 1970-1971 regarding the International Peace Garden project is included. Two editions of a Grand Forks BPW Club newsletter, The Gist of It, are included; this same title had previously been used in the 1920s and 1930s to refer to a newsletter for the entire North Dakota BPW. Photographs were separated and placed in the Orin G. Libby Photograph Collection.
