University Archives
University Archives was formally created in 1973 to preserve and house historical materials significant to the life of the University of North Dakota. These consist of 2,900 linear feet of noncurrent, unpublished records from University offices and operations, colleges, schools, and departments. The archive also includes published materials in the form of journals, bulletins, reports, directories, newsletters, programs and pamphlets.
In addition, the collection contains:
- Each edition of The Alumni Review.
- Every issue of the student newspaper, The Dakota Student.
- More than 7,900 master’s theses and doctoral dissertations authored at the University since 1905.
- The University Archives Photograph Collection, containing over 25,000 historical photographs of UND.
