ACQUISITION: This addition to the Center for Peace Studies Records was deposited in University Archives by Kristin Sorenson in September 1995.

ACCESS: Available for inspection under the rules and regulations of the Department of Special Collections.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE

This addition to the Center for Peace Studies Records contains three folders about the formation of the Conflict Resolution Center (CRC) by the Center for Peace Studies. The CRC was established in 1987, following a Mediation Task Force recommendation. The CRC was created to mediate conflict at UND, and remains an independent entity under the auspices of the Office of the President.

Documents include correspondence, memos, and agendas pertaining to a search committee for a CRC director; correspondence, minutes, reports, pertaining to the CRC mediation task force; and agendas, correspondence, and memoranda pertaining to CRC workshops. This addition also includes bibliographies for Peace Studies journals from 1992-1995.
