TITLE: NEA Grants for Art Projects: Art Works Deadline 2, FY 13

AGENCY: National Endowment for the Arts

ITEM: Notice seeking applications for arts education (school-based projects), dance, design, folk and traditional arts, literature, media arts, museums, music, opera, presenting, theatre and musical theatre, visual arts, and local arts agency projects. Applicants must select one of four primary outcomes (a secondary outcome may also be identified): the creation of art that meets the highest standards of excellence; public engagement with diverse and excellent art; lifelong learning in the arts; and the strengthening of communities through the arts.

ACTION: Applications are due August 9, 2012. Award amounts typically range from $10,000 to $100,000. Colleges and universities are eligible to apply.

LIMITED SUBMISSION: In general, there is a limit of one application per institution for National Endowment for the Arts competitions, including Art Works. For this competition, there is an exception for “separately identifiable and independent components” of an institution, such as a university campus that has a presenting organization and a radio station. In those cases, one application is allowed per each eligible component of the parent organization.
