2014 Seed/Planning Grants for Collaborative Research Awarded

The Division of Research & Economic Development is pleased to announce funding for two Collaborative Research Seed/Planning Grants for 2014.  The projects funded are as follows:


 Cindy Juntunen, Counseling Psychology & Community Services

Abdallah Badahdah, Sociology

"UAS Community Attitudes Research" – $31,653


C. Casey Ozaki, Teaching & Learning

Deborah Worley, Educational Leadership

Emily Cherry, Theatre Arts

Andre Kehn, Psychology

“Moving Beyond Jazz Hands: Developing New Tools to Assess Student Learning Across the Fine Arts” – $57,842


Each of these grants will provide the opportunity for investigators to obtain initial data during 2014 that will allow them to submit a full proposal to a national funding agency.  The Division received 20 proposals this year.
