A week of celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. continues at UND

Activities honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at UND continue through Friday night. Please note: The African Student Union Meeting and Social in the Era Bell Thompson Multicultural Center at 4 p.m. Friday night has been canceled.

Thursday, January 27

  • Dr. King’s “ I Have A Dream” performed by Mixed Blood Productions in the Memorial Union Ballroom at 1 p.m.
  • Board of Grand Forks Community Elders and members of the local NAACP chapter will participate in a panel discussion at 7 p.m. in the Memorial Union Lecture Bowl

Friday, Jan. 28

  • “Project Dance: We Are the Dream“ DJ and dance in Squires Dining Center 8 p.m. to midnight.

The events are sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Student Services in conjunction with the African Student Union (ASU), the Black Student Association (BSA), the UND Department of Geography, the Era Bell Thompson Multicultural Center, the Grand Forks Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Color people (NAACP),UND Resident Life and UND Student Association’s University Programming Council (UPC).
