Conflict Resolution Center offers nonviolent communication training May 31 and June 1-3
The Conflict Resolution Center is offering foundational training in nonviolent communication (NVC) May 31 and June 1-3. Scholarships and special UND staff/faculty rates are available. There is limited space, so register today.
Conflict Resolution Center will provide weekly concepts in NVC that anyone can use in their daily lives. Remember that human needs are universal, connecting us to each other. Conflict arises at the level of strategies we choose to meet our needs. Through NVC, we can learn to achieve balance, honesty and empathy within ourselves and with others. Ask yourself:
- What needs do you have that are unmet?
- Can you meet those needs through self empathy (without blame, shame, guilt)?
- Who could you ask to help you by expressing your requests instead of making demands, while owning your own emotional reactions?
If you're not sure, come to one or all four days of the foundational training in NVC. Register by calling 777-3664 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Find out more on our web site at http://conflictresolution.und.edu.
