University Senate elects 2011-2012 leadership
Jim Mochoruk (History) was elected 2011-2012 Vice Chair/Chair Elect of the University Senate at that body's Sept. 1 meeting. Curt Stofferahn (Sociology) is the 2011-2012 University Senate Chair.
Linda Ray (Pathology) and Amebu Seddoh (Communication Sciences and Disorders) were elected for two-year terms as faculty representatives on the Committee on Committees.
Kim Kenville was elected to a two-year term as faculty representative, and Kylie Oversen was elected to a one-year term as student representative, on the Senate Executive Committee. The Executive Committee, which establishes the agenda for meetings of the University Senate and acts in the Senate's place when necessary between Senate meetings, also includes Senate Chair, Curt Stofferahn (Sociology); Senate Vice Chair/Chair Elect, Jim Mochoruk (History); Senate Secretary, Suzanne Anderson (Registrar); Senate immediate past chair, Kathy Smart (Teaching and Learning); faculty representative, Rosanne McBride (Family and Community Medicine); Council of College Faculties representative, Don Poochigian (Philosophy and Religion); and Paul LeBel, Provost.
