Art and Design welcomes visiting artist Elijah Gowin
Art and Design’s Visiting Artist Series, in conjunction with the Myers Foundation, presents Elijah Gowin, Guggenheim Fellow, associate professor in Photography and Director of Photographic Studies at the University of Missouri‐Kansas, April 21-22. Gowin will deliver a free public lecture and presentation at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 21. The lecture will take place in the Paul E. Barr Memorial Lecture Room, Hughes Fine Arts Center. Workshop demonstrations will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday-Thursday, April 21-22, in the Hughes Fine Arts Center, room 263.
Gowin is also the juror for Art and Design’s first national juried photography exhibition, “Of Memory, Bone and Myth,” and will be attending the exhibition reception at the Empire Arts Center, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 22.
