From President Kelley: Inaugural Exceptional UND Showcase is April 30
Please join your colleagues and me at the inaugural Exceptional UND Showcase, to be held Monday, April 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second floor of the Memorial Union.
The Showcase provides a unique opportunity to meet up with other students, faculty, staff and community members, and see and hear about some of the exciting and innovative initiatives directly resulting from our campus community’s Exceptional UND Strategic Vision. The distinctive format of the Showcase – an interactive poster session hosted by teams of your colleagues – will allow you to preview initiatives that are currently under way, engage with colleagues who are working on these initiatives, and provide feedback about all aspects of Exceptional UND.
I look forward to welcoming you with some brief remarks at 11 a.m. in the Lecture Bowl at the Memorial Union. The Showcase will immediately follow in the Fireside Lounge and will be open until 2 p.m. Because the event features an ongoing poster session, please attend as your schedule allows to visit with colleagues, enjoy hors d’oeuvres, and provide your important feedback on our University’s collaboration toward an Exceptional UND.
I understand that this is a busy time of year for the entire campus community. If your schedule does not allow you to come to the event, please engage online. Beginning April 30, the Exceptional UND web site will contain information about each initiative that is on display during the event and will provide a place for you to comment on individual initiatives, propose new ideas, and provide other comments about the Exceptional UND Vision. Please go to und.edu/exceptional for more information about Exceptional UND and this event.
Together, we are making our shared vision a reality!
About Exceptional UND
Exceptional UND is our campus community’s shared vision for the future, linking UND to the people of North Dakota, the nation, and globe through innovative teaching and learning, cutting-edge research, scholarship and creative activity, and meaningful service to advance the public well-being.
Stemming from a series of campus-wide conversations founded on our distinctive values of community and collaboration, Exceptional UND identifies five strategic priorities to achieve our vision: enrich student learning, encourage gathering, facilitate collaboration, expand our presence, and enhance our quality of life.
Each priority allows for flexibility and innovation in developing initiatives throughout the campus community that advance the University’s mission and vision for the future.
