Student Advisory Committee seeks faculty and staff volunteers
Health and Wellness is seeking two faculty and staff volunteers to serve on a newly formed committee that will provide advice and recommendations regarding student fee allocations.
The Health and Wellness Student Fee Advisory Committee (H&W SFAC) will consist of five students and two faculty/staff members. The student members have already been identified. One faculty member and one staff member are needed to complete the committee.
The purpose is to advise the University Student Fee Advisory Committee and to make recommendations regarding the allocation of student fees. H&W SFAC will focus on fee recommendations regarding all student-fee funded programs in the Health and Wellness Unit. The Health and Wellness Unit consists of the Wellness Center, Student Health Services, University Counseling Center, and Health and Wellness Education and Outreach. The committee will also recommend any change in the fee level and advise on communication about health fee matters to the student body.
We anticipate that the H&W SFAC will meet monthly, with training to take place early in the fall 2012 semester. As this is a new process, there will be details to work out as we go along.
Please consider volunteering for this important task. You may communicate your interest to Laurie Betting, associate vice president for Health and Wellness, at 777-6055 or firstname.lastname@example.org no later than June 15.
