Student Health Services (SHS) recognizes the crucial connection between physical heath and psychological well-being. SHS psychiatric services will include both a consulting psychiatrist and advanced practice psychiatric nurse and offers outpatient psychiatric care that focuses on medication management and evaluation.

Students may be referred to a SHS psychiatric services provider following an appointment in a medical clinic or a scheduled consultation at the University Counseling Center. The integrated clinical approach includes a review of previous treatment, a thorough diagnostic evaluation, and the proposal of a treatment plan. SHS may also make referrals to providers in the community for intensive or long-term treatment.
