UND McNair Program funded for upcoming grant cycle

UND has received a TRIO/Ronald E. McNair Post Baccalaureate Program grant award for the upcoming five year grant cycle, beginning Oct. 1, 2012.  The grant is 100 percent funded by the U.S. Department of Education in the amount of $243,000 annually.

The UND Ronald E. McNair Post Baccalaureate Program is a part of the Division of Student Affairs. Program participants are undergraduate juniors or seniors who are first generation and low income, or who are from a group underrepresented at the doctoral level of the targeted departments. The McNair Program encourages students to prepare for graduate studies by providing opportunities to define goals, engage in research, and to develop the skills and student faculty mentor relationships vital to success at the doctoral level.
