Metabolic testing available for employees and spouses

Have you ever wondered if your metabolism is fast or slow? Is a slow metabolism the reason you can't lose weight? Now, your question can be answered with a 10-minute breathing test that will determine the exact number of calories you burn at rest each day.

Work Well contracted three sessions (Oct. 25, Nov. 15 and Nov. 29) for this fall for staff, faculty and spouses to get their metabolism checked. The appointment includes a 10-minute breathing test, a 20-minute explanation of results from a registered dietitian and a follow-up appointment in three months with the registered dietitian.

On the day of the metabolism test, participants should not exercise, have caffeine, or eat four hours before the test.
