Finalists named in College of Education and Human Development dean search

The EHD Dean Search Committee has invited four finalists for campus visits in the search for the next Dean of the College of Education and Human Development.

Each finalist will give a public presentation, with the suggested topic of “As you look ahead three or five years, what do you see as the most important opportunities and challenges on the horizon of a College of Education and Human Development? How would you, in the deanship at UND’s College of Education & Human Development, begin to approach them?”  A short reception will follow each candidate’s presentation.  The presentations and receptions are open to the public, and all are welcome to attend.

The finalists and the dates for their campus interviews are:

Dr. Cheryl D. Lovell, Professor, Higher Education Program, Morgridge College of Education, University of Denver:  Campus visit Nov. 4-6, public presentation Monday, Nov. 5, 4:30 p.m. in EHD Room 7

Dr. Robert D. Hill, Professor, Department of Educational Psychology, University of Utah:  Campus visit Nov. 6-8, public presentation Wednesday, Nov. 7, 4:30 p.m. in EHD Room 7

Dr. Jeffrey B. Hecht, Associate Dean, College of Education, Northern Illinois University:  Campus visit Nov. 12-14, public presentation Tuesday, November 13, 4:30 pm in EHD Room 7

Dr. Jerry R. Thomas, Dean, College of Education, University of North Texas:  Campus visit Nov. 15-16, public presentation Thursday, Nov. 15, 4:30 pm in EHD Room 7
