On Teaching lunch seminar focuses on faculty writing groups Nov. 14

In this On Teaching lunch seminar, a panel of faculty who have recently participated in various writing groups on campus will share their experience. The panel will address four main questions: 1) Why take part in a faculty writing group? 2) How do writing groups work? 3) What makes a writing group successful or unsuccessful? and 4) What do faculty writing groups have to do with teaching? Other questions and comments from attendees will be welcome. We will also have time to network and explore possible writing groups, writing partnerships, or other ways to exchange expertise. If you’re looking for a writing group or if you have experience participating in one, we hope you’ll join the conversation.

This seminar takes place Wednesday, Nov. 14, noon to 1 p.m. Please register by Monday, Nov. 12, at noon to attend and reserve a lunch. Visit the Office of Instructional Development online (oid.UND.edu) to register. For information, contact Jana Lagro at 777.4998 or jana.lagro@UND.edu.
