Culinary Corner lists upcoming events

Here's whats happening in the Culinary Corner this month.

Cheap, Fast and Healthy

Are you on a hectic schedule and tight budget? Are you sick of going through the drive through and ordering unhealthy food just because it’s convenient? Come join us on Tuesday nights for Cheap, Fast, and Healthy.

Each 30-minute session will feature tips on shopping for fresh and healthy ingredients, easy-to-prepare recipes, and cost comparisons. Class participants will see the recipe being prepared, enjoy a sample, and leave with a recipe card and nutrition information to make the meal themselves.

Class starts at 5:30 p.m. and is free.

Date Night at the Culinary Corner

Looking for something fun and tasteful to do in the evenings? Join us at the culinary corner with your significant other or just a friend to create a gourmet style meal.

Classes will be held:

Feb. 3, 6 p.m. – Tortellini pasta salad with heirloom tomatoes, basil and grilled chicken as the main course
Feb. 14, 7 p.m. – Roast pork tenderloin with apples and cider sauce as the main course

Cost: $20 for two people

Crock Pot cooking

The crock pot is one of the best time-saving appliances in the kitchen – perfect for the cook with limited time. It’s also great for beginning cooks because all you do is fill it and turn it on. Hours later, you come home to a house filled with wonderful smells and dinner ready for the table.

Join us in the Culinary Corner over your lunch break and prepare tonight’s dinner for you and your family. Please bring your own crock pot or slow cooker. Cost: $15
