Community Engagement to host Roundtable on Campus Engagement Feb. 15
The UND community invited to join colleagues from campuses across North Dakota and northern Minnesota for a Roundtable on Campus Engagement. The roundtable, hosted by the Center for Community Engagement, will be held Friday, Feb. 15, in the Memorial Union.
Julie Plaut, executive director of the Minnesota Campus Compact, will be the luncheon speaker, sharing her experience about the benefits of campuses working together and some of the results of dialogues her organization has been conducting on the public purposes of higher education.
Here is the tentative schedule:
9:30 a.m. – Registration and coffee
10 a.m. – Welcome from UND President Kelley and other opening activities
10:30 to 11:45 a.m. – Roundtable session on service learning
noon to 1 p.m. – Lunch with speaker Julie Plaut
1:15 to 2:15 p.m. – Break-out sessions, posters, and meetings
2:30 to 3:45 p.m. – Roundtable session on public scholarship
4 to 4:30 p.m. – Closing reception (sponsored by Arts and Sciences)
