In the next few weeks, U2 and sponsors will offer courses related to the workplace. These sessions are great for anyone who supervises staff or just wants to learn more about appropriate workplace behavior. Tom Olson, from St. Alexius Employee Assistance Program will be on campus offering the following three courses:

Creating a Positive Work EnvironmentTuesday, Jan. 29, from 2 to 3 p.m., Memorial Union River Valley Room
In this presentation, you will explore finding a balance between developing a positive work environment and focusing on your area’s performance goals.

Substance Abuse & the Workplace: The Role of the Supervisor – Wednesday, Jan. 30, 8:30 to 10 a.m., Memorial Union Lecture Bowl
The speaker will address guidelines for effective intervention and referral processes to get help for impaired worker.

Sexual HarassmentWednesday, Jan. 30, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Memorial Union Lecture Bowl
This presentation will help you recognize sexual harassment when it occurs, and it will provide guidance to address the behaviors displayed by employees that may be interpreted as offensive co-workers.
