University of North Dakota Faculty/Staff Newsletter

Register for summer/fall online courses

It’s time again for students to begin enrolling in summer and fall courses. We’d like to ask faculty and advisors to inform students about the online course options available. Students have hundreds of flexible choices to find the course they need.

UND offers two course formats: semester-based and enroll anytime. Semester-based courses follow the same timeline as on-campus courses and are eligible for financial aid. Enroll anytime (correspondence) courses allow students to register at any time and work at their own pace for up to nine months, but the courses are not eligible for financial aid. Online courses mirror those offered on-campus and students’ transcripts look the same as if they’d taken traditional, on-campus courses.

Also, students receive the North Dakota tuition rate no matter which format they choose or their residency status (exceptions may apply, including for the distance engineering program).
