Debra R. Rolison to present Abbott Lectures April 25, 26
This year’s Chemistry Department Abbott Lectures will be given on April 25 and 26 by Debra R. Rolison, section head at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory.
Rolison will give two lectures: the first presentation, titled “Creating Change in Scientific Institutions through Subversion, Revolution (Title IX!), and Climate Change,” will be given at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in 101 Abbott Hall. It is intended for a scientifically interested general audience and will address expanding opportunities for women in science. A reception will follow in 232 Abbott Hall. She will also be presenting a research talk, titled “Enhancing Energy Storage on the Macroscale via Architectural Design on the Nanoscale,” at noon Friday, April 26, in 138 Abbott Hall. All are welcome to both lectures.
