The Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre offers summer camps for kids

Sunday, April 28 - Pancakes with a Prince(ss)  9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the EGF VFW on DeMers Avenue: Enjoy warm, fluffy pancakes prepared by GFAFB Firefighters and served by singing princes and princesses. Belle, Snow White, Ariel, and Prince Charming will sing and pose for photos at this fundraiser for the Community Theatre. $6 per person.

Mother Goose's Storybook Theatre - Ages 4-6: Children will be read a classic or contemporary childrens' book, then engage in guided play as they explore the story using costumes, props, and stage make-up, all on the Fire Hall Theatre stage.

The Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre has several upcoming opportunities for children. Sessions are once a week in June and July. Parents are welcome to stay or drop off children.

Session I: Tuesdays; June 4, 11, 18, 25; 9 to 10 a.m. or Thursdays; June 6, 13, 20, 27; 10 to 11 a.m.
Session II: Tuesdays; July 9, 16, 23, 30; 9 to 10 a.m. or Thursdays; July 11, 18, 25, 31; 10 to 11 a.m.

Cost is $35 per session. Space is limited to 15 children per four-week class. Download registration form at and submit with fee by May 31.

Children entering 1-8th grade in fall will also have the opportunity to audition for CAUTION: Children @ Play, a new comedy by Kathy Coudle-King, June 3-4, at 7 p.m.

This eight-week workshop will culminate in performances at the Fire Hall Theatre, July 30, 31, and Aug. 1 at 7 p.m.

Rehearsals begin June 10 and will be held Monday-Thursday, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., for 5th-8th graders (off July 3 and 4). Rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., for K-4th graders.

Cost is $80 for 5 -8th graders, and $40 for K-4th graders.

Fire Hall Theatre is located at 412 N 2nd Ave.  Established in 1947, it has been named the 2013 Governor's Award Winner for Art Organization of the Year.
