Darin Lee named to western states mailing services board
Darin Lee, mailing services supervisor, has been nominated to serve on the Association of Rocky Mountain College and Universities Mail Services (ARMCUMS) board. He is the only member from North Dakota on the board, which represents mail services on campuses in 17 western states and Tennessee.
ARMCUMS is an association of western region mail professionals who are employed by colleges and universities. ARMCUMS works to help campuses improve mailing services and diminish costs in mailing operations.
“I have been a member since 2011 and through my association with ARMCUMS, I have met many outstanding mailing professionals from other universities,” said Lee.
As part of the board, Lee will work on critical issues, federal legislation and new topics important to the mailing industry. Lee will have the chance to learn about interesting and effective practices that he can use to help UND’s mailing needs.
“ARMCUMS provides UND with a network of support and expertise on mailing issues,” Lee said. “ It also gives UND a voice on a national level in the mailing industry.”
As a member of the board, Lee will serve on the membership committee and will be this year’s conference co-host along with Dr. Kay Schallenkamp, president of Black Hills State University. The 2013 conference will be held this fall in Rapid City, S.D.
