Financial Aid requires information on students who fail class
The University is required to determine the last date of academic activity for a student who fails one or more of their classes. To comply with this federal regulation, the Student Financial Aid Office will contact faculty members to document the last date a student attended class, turned in an assignment, participated in an exam or attended a faculty led study group the week of Aug. 19.
The documentation received will then be used to calculate if federal funds are required to be returned to the Department of Education. Failure to respond to the documentation request may result in the student losing all of their financial aid for the summer session and creating a bill on their account. Students will be notified that documentation was not received by their faculty member.
Thank you in advance for assisting our office with this process. If you will be unavailable the week of Aug. 19, please contact Janelle Kilgore, director, 777.4409, janelle.kilgore@UND.edu.
