View and register CILT August workshops online

It’s August already, and we’re making preparations for Fall semester, which begins on Monday, Aug. 26. Over the summer, several teaching technologies have improved their features in order to provide a more flexible, intuitive teaching environment. Here’s a brief review of new features.

* Blackboard Learning Management System — Communication, content editing and assignment grading enhancements; plus a new streamlined global navigation menu.
* Tegrity Lecture Capture — Improved integration with Blackboard courses, faculty annotation, student note-taking; and videos can be uploaded to your YouTube channel.
* Respondus Test Conversion to Blackboard — Annual license renewal, so check the Faculty Resource Site for the serial number when prompted by Respondus.

Please note that Blackboard will be unavailable to users from 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9 through 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, during the update window. Your courses will automatically be updated with the new features. Tegrity and Respondus updates have already been completed.

CILT instructional designers are available to meet with you to discuss these improvements and best practices for teaching with technology. Several CILT workshops are scheduled in August, including general overviews of the new features. Click on this link to view the workshop schedule and register.
