Community invited to nominate UND partners for awards
Community members and organizations are invited to nominate University of North Dakota faculty, departments, and students at the Center for Community Engagement's annual Stone Soup Awards and Luncheon, set for Thursday, Nov. 14.
Nominations from the community are being accepted in three categories:
- Public Scholar Award ― Given to a UND faculty member demonstrating exemplary community-based research and creative activity.
- Faculty Service-Learning Award ― Given to a UND faculty member who makes excellent use of service learning to teach students academic content while they provide a benefit to the community
- Engaged Department Award ― Given to a UND department or program committed to engagement of faculty and students.
Nominations are also being accepted at UND for the Undergraduate Student Civic Engagement Award, the Graduate Student Civic Engagement Award, and the Paul V. Boswell Community Scholar Award.
Nominations are due Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 4 p.m. Nomination forms and complete award descriptions are available online at the Center for Community engagement website (communityengagement.UND.edu) or by calling or emailing the Center at 701.777.0675 or UND.communityengagment@UND.edu. Luncheon reservations also can be made online or by contacting the Center.
