Terrence Roberts, one of “Little Rock Nine,” will visit campus Sept. 23
The College of Education and Human Development invites you to a talk by Dr. Terrence Roberts on Monday, Sept. 23, from 2 to 3 p.m. in Room 113, Education Building. A reception will be held after the talk.
Roberts is one of nine teenagers who fought back against the forces of discrimination in the late 1950s. Named “The Little Rock Nine,” this group of students was the first to experience equal access to public education after North Dakota Judge Ronald N. Davies’ landmark ruling on the integration of public schools. This changed the history of civil rights in the United States.
