Norwegian musician Logan Lind’s to play Oct. 7

logan-lindArmed with a weathered guitar, powerful raspy vocals and songs full of depth and heart; Norwegian musician Logan Lind – known for his folk rock with a Scandinavian edge” will play at at 7  p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, in the Memorial Union Loading Dock. The show is sponsored by the University Program Council (UPC) and UND Norsk.

Lind and his band will be coming to UND from Minot, where they will have performed at Norsk Høstfest, the largest Scandinavian festival in North America.

Born in southern Norway and raised in the Southern United States, Lind’s musical style is a mixture of cultural sounds with original songwriting performed in a high energy show. His unique sound is captured in his newly released EP, “Troll Bait”.

During the summer of 2012, Lind returned to Norway and toured some of its most recognized festivals. Lind will be returning to Norway this summer for a special tour. He will be traveling with the historic emigration ship, Restauration. As it sails into harbors all along the Norwegian coastline, Lind will be playing a series of concerts that honors the spirits of Norwegian emigrants.

UPC provides the UND student body a variety of entertainment options throughout the years, such as concerts, movies, comedians, lectures and other special events.
