Facilities offers cardboard recycling tips
The UND program recycles two types of cardboard. Corrugated cardboard is usually smaller in size and used for packaging or to protect items from getting damaged. Paperboard is a thinner cardboard (Kleenex, cereal, gift boxes) and can used for storing food and clothing items.
Before recycling, plastic liners or Styrofoam packaging should be removed and no food should be left in the box. The cleaner the containers are, the more recyclable they are. Please flatten your boxes and place them by your collection area at the end of the day. UND recycled 107 tons of cardboard in 2012.
If you have any recycling questions, please call Debbie at 777.4878. Thank you for supporting our recycling efforts!
