U Community invited to Oct 24 conversation about AVP for Diversity & Inclusion

You are invited to participate in a campus-wide conversation about the Associate Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion at UND, an important new position that will be filled this academic year.  Peter Rosenberg of SJG Search Firm has been selected to assist us with a nationwide search.  Please join us on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2:30-3:15 p.m. in the Badlands Room at the Memorial Union for a discussion about the qualities and characteristics you think are important for the AVP of Diversity & Inclusion.

The AVP for Diversity & Inclusion is a senior position that will have two broad areas of responsibility:  First, as a member of the Provost’s Office,  this individual will serve as the senior resource and catalyst to develop, strategize, plan, collaborate, and assess with UND community members on various diversity related programs and initiatives across all UND Colleges.  Second, this individual will supervise and support the program goals of a number of existing diversity-related offices including American Indian Student Services, Multicultural Student Services, International Centre, GLBTQA services, and the Women’s Center.
