Shuttle buses reinstated for men’s hockey

Ralph Engelstad Arena and the University have confirmed an arrangement to reinstate shuttle buses for UND men’s hockey games beginning on Friday, Nov. 1, when UND faces St. Cloud State.

Guests interested in riding the UND men’s hockey game shuttles should park in the ramp. The charge to park in the UND parking ramp during UND men’s hockey games is $10 per vehicle. Shuttles will begin running one hour prior to game time from the base of the ramp (located on Columbia Road and 2nd Avenue North) and will begin returning guests to the ramp approximately midway through the third period each night, in addition to the post-game shuttles back to the ramp.

The following lots will no longer be used for event parking:

  • North of College of Nursing Building – UND parking permits will be required.
  • North of School of Medicine & Health Sciences (SMHS) and loop – UND parking permits will be required.

The following lots will continue to be used for event parking:

  • East of Wellness Center
    • Spaces will be held for vehicles with valid permits needing access to the Wellness Center.
  • North of Archives
  • North of Albatross

RCS and RCA permits are still valid in the parking ramp during these events, but are asked not to park on the incline between levels 1 and 2 on Fridays and Saturdays during the events.  All other permits (“A”, “S”, and “H”) are not valid in the ramp when it is converted to an event lot.

If you are interested in purchasing a Go Green Wellness Center pass, which can be used for the entire UND men’s hockey season at either the Wellness Center or the parking ramp, you can purchase them until Nov. 30 from the parking attendants at the parking ramp and Wellness Center on game days or at UND Parking Services and the UND Bookstore with cash or check (made payable to UND) for the following prices:

Nov. 1

Nov. 2 $128.00
Nov. 15 $120.00
Nov. 16 $112.00
Nov. 29 $104.00
Nov. 30 $96.00
Dec. 13-Mar. 16 No Sales

Please use extra caution on 2nd Avenue North during these events due to the increased traffic of pedestrians and vehicles.  Lastly, 2nd Avenue North from Cornell Street to Columbia Road will be closed as vehicles exit the ramp on event nights.
