International Education Week is Nov. 12-15
International Education Week, Nov. 12-16, is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States. We will have events throughout the week:
Tuesday, Nov. 12: Movie: Emmanuel's Gift, 8 p.m., Memorial Union Loading Dock
Wednesday, Nov. 13: Women's Center: Meet, Eat and Learn: World View of Women, noon, International Centre. A panel of international male students and/or faculty will discuss women and education in the world.
Thursday, Nov. 14:
― Study Abroad, Italy, noon, International Centre. Sarah Borgen, UND student, will present about her study abroad experience in Italy, the art and culture of Italy, and the Gillman Scholarship which helped to make this possible. Mama Maria's Italian food is included.
― Around the World in 120 minutes, 3 to 5 p.m., Memorial Union Loading Dock. Engage with students who have studies abroad in a Pecha Kucha format.
― Culture Night: China, 6:30 p.m., Memorial Union Ballroom. Experience a bit of the culture of China and some wonderful Chinese cuisine.
