Vocal master class with Richard Boldrey is Nov. 23

The North Dakota District of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions (ND Met) presents a Public Master Class with Richard Boldrey at approximately 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, in the Josephine Campbell Recital Hall in Hughes Fine Arts Center. Young aspiring opera singers will perform an aria from the earlier ND Met competition or a new song and receive instruction and guidance from Mr. Boldrey who is a prominent opera coach and teaches at Northwestern University in Chicago.

The Master Class follows the 50th Anniversary North Dakota District Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions at 11:30 a.m. that day, also in the Recital Hall. Following the awards ceremony and singer consultations with the judges, Richard Boldrey, one of the competition judges, will work with the ND Met singers in a public master class.  It is free and open to all.

This Master Class is presented as part of the 50th Anniversary Season of ND Met thanks to generous sponsorship by the North Valley Arts Council, the UND Music Department, and individual supporters. Visit our FaceBook page at www.facebook.com/NDMet.
