Pasch to return to Canadian Arctic to assist SSHRC research team
Communication Assistant Professor Timothy Pasch will return to the Canadian Arctic on May 9 to assist a SSHRC (Government of Canada Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council) team in creating digital broader impacts tools for health-related initiatives in the North. Pasch was invited to travel to Nunavut to create a digital base camp for assisting Inuit youth in crafting healthful messages using their indigenous First Nations language of Inuktitut. Among the team members are research faculty from the University of British Columbia and the Nunavut Arctic College. In this expedition Pasch would like to acknowledge the infrastructural assistance of the UND College of Arts and Sciences and the CIO/Office of the Provost for investments in supplies and equipment including a prototype of Google Glass.
