Women’s Center Meet, Eat and Learn will discuss elections, politics, and women Dec. 1
The Women’s Center welcomes Kate Scheurer, assistant professor of political science and public administration, at the next Meet, Eat and Learn. Scheurer will discuss "Elections, Politics and Women" from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, at the International Centre.
Scheurer's research focuses on the role women play in politics and women as political actors. In particular, she studies whether gender influences judicial decision-making and the behavior of male and female governors. She will share her insight about the extent to which women participate in politics, including the past 2010 elections. She will also discuss women as political candidates and the many factors that may potentially be contributing to the limited number of women in government at all levels. Everyone is welcome, and lunch will be provided.
