Art and Design will present artist Dan Attoe’s work March 1
Art and Design will host artist Dan Attoe from Monday, March 1 through Friday March 5. He will be giving a slide presentation of his work at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, in the Hughes Fine Arts Center, Room 227. His highly detailed surfaces are reminiscent of romantic painting as he investigates the "underbelly" of American western culture. He received his MFA from University of Iowa, Iowa City in 2004 and his BFA from University of Wisconsin, Madison, in 1998. Currently he exhibits with Peres Projects, Berlin and Western Exhibitions, Chicago. Attoe has also recently had exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Bordeaux, France and Saatchi Gallery, London UK.
