FTP
FTP stands for "File Transfer Protocol" and makes uploading files to a server as easy as saving files on your computer. To save files to your directory at UND:
- Download an install an FTP program such as:
- Open the FTP program and configure it with the login information you received from the Computer Center
- On the remote side of the FTP program, all the files that are displayed on the web are kept in a folder called "web"
- Transfer files by selecting and dragging and dropping or by selecting and clicking the transfer arrow
- MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A BACKUP COPY OF YOUR WEBSITE SOMEWHERE INCASE YOU ACCIDENTLY CHANGE OR DELETE SOMETHING YOU DIDN'T MEAN TOO
